Improv comedy classes

What is Wokingham Improv?!

Wokingham Improv runs classes and courses in how to improvise! From complete beginners to experienced performers looking to brush up on their skills. All are welcome.

Comedy improv is the ultimate in live theatre. Players work together to create comedy scenes, characters, plays, sketches, games or even even musicals based on suggestions from an audience. The best thing is, it's all about team work! You have to work together with your teammates to build hilarious scenes and shows, the more you make each other look good, the better and more hilarious the scene is. (Prob quite a good lesson for life too?!)

Even better news: It's not walking on stage and hoping for the best. there's technique, skills and tips that can teach you how to craft a scene with your scene partners live!

the best news yet though...the classes are supportive, welcoming, friendly and fun! failure is impossible, laughter guaranteed (also a good lesson for life?!)

Wokingham improv is run by co-creator of multi-award winning improv show 'csi:crime scene improvisation' sarah kempton.

Lucy Rakauskas

A wonderful teacher and so fun! A really warm and welcoming class with so much to learn. Total recommend.

Sarah’s Wednesday Improv classes are the highlight of my week.
The classes are enormous fun and Sarah puts a lot of thought and effort into planning the sessions so that everyone gets involved in a very supportive environment.
She encourages us to experiment and take a risk because there is no such thing as failure. It’s about trying things out and having a laugh.
Sarah has built great unity within the group and I have made new friends through her classes.
I highly recommend Improv Wokingham if you’re looking to build your confidence or have a good night out with plenty of laughter.

Sarah’s improvisation class is an absolute joy! It’s a super fun, welcoming space where everyone feels included and free to play. Highly recommend for anyone looking to laugh, connect, and be creative!
